Crashed and Burnt

***Queue up "Desperado" by The Eagles as you read this***

Dear Cherished Readers,

If you haven't heard, my website was discovered by a couple of computer savvy parents two days ago. As a result, this will be the last post on this website. Also, I have been strongly advised by all of my friends to remove the site and all of its contents from the internet. This has been done with absolutely no questions asked. I value my friends too highly to allow further trouble to come from my website. Also, as a courtesy, I have removed all pictures taken during the celebration of life as a high schooler from my image hosting site which is also password protected.

I've now had three days to let this all sink in. I think I can now put forth an assessment of what I've lost personally via the destruction of this website. My website was never meant to be found, obviously, but I do realize that the very idea of it is, at it's core, a bad idea. However, I'm a photographer and a documentarian simply by my nature. I can't help that. The joy that I felt writing about a weekend of hedonism with pictures to back it up was indescribable. This site was a way for me to tell people exactly what I thought about everything that I thought about. That, while throwing in the occasional line of Shakespeare or Robert Frost.

As of last night, it's all gone. The documentation of my last 6 months of my life as a high schooler and as a young man, gone. I'm not bitter, because I knew that I needed to do it eventually. I guess it's like high school itself. It was nice while it lasted, and now it's time to move on.

However, I implore all of you to cherish the memories...

Thank you to everyone that read and enjoyed my website over the past six months. I will really miss doing it. But, I WILL be back. Give me a month or so. New URL, this time no pictures that your mom couldn't see (for the most part). You shouldn't worry. I won't leave you hanging with just Matt's website to look at. That would be cruel and unusual. (J/K Matt:)

Thank you once again.

Sincerely,

Rivers A. Langley

P.S. Since this is the last post and all, you should leave me some comments. WITH YOUR NAME.
